The Comox Valley Regional District is seeking public input on the future of the exhibition grounds in Courtenay. Senior Manager of Rec Facilities Jennifer Zbinden says the R-D is putting together a master plan for the grounds. It will meet the need of the community and stakeholders groups, and will incorporate potential economic opportunities and action to support the growth in the agriculture sector. Zbinden says the CVRD would like to hear the public’s opinions on rural agriculture, urban agriculture, equestrian, music festivals, sporting events, and exhibition/fall fairs. The public open house will take place on November 3rd from 6:30-8:30 pm Florence Filberg Centre in Courtenay. The results of the public input will be given to the R-D board for consideration.
