The Comox Valley RCMP are investigatingĀ several complaints of mischief to vehicles in Courtenay. Constable Rob Gardner says on October 29th, it was reported that an unknown person had thrown a pumpkin into the windshield of a vehicle parked on the 1500 block of Valley Crescent. The windshield of the vehicle was extensively damaged. Two more vehicles, parked on the 2800 block of Bryden Place, also had windows broken over night. One of the vehicles had the side window broken and the other vehicles windshield was smashed. A third vehicle parked on the 4500 block of McLauchlin Place had the rear window broken out overnight. An owner of a vehicle parked on the 1600 block of Oak Place also reported a rock was thrown through the front passenger side window overnight. Police aren’t sure if these cases are related.
