Campbell River City Council is looking at expanding transit services. City Manager Deborah Sargent says the province would provide a share of funding to expand the service. “It would involve an additional 15 hundred hours of service, the addition of 2 buses, revamping of the existing system to make create new efficiency’s for the city,” states Sargent. “The cost sharing agreement between the City of Campbell River and Transit would be 53% by the city and 47% by BC Transit.” Any changes to the transit system would take place in 2018.
