K’omoks and Qualicum First Nations have signed forestry agreements with the province. As part of the package, they’ll be able to sustainably harvest 32-thousand cubic metres of timber per year, over 25 years. Their licences cover about 83-hundred hectares of Crown land near Courtenay.
