People in the Comox Valley remain under an air quality advisory and open burning restrictions. Earle Plain with the Ministry of the Environment says the advisory was issued because of high concentrations of fine particles in the air. Anyone with chronic underlying medical conditions should postpone strenuous activities until the advisory has been lifted. Open burning restrictions apply to anyone within 15 kilometres of Courtenay City Hall.
