Frigid temperatures across the province have led to record-breaking demand for electricity. B-C Hydro says power consumption peaked at 10-thousand 126 megawatts between five and 6 p.m. on Tuesday. That breaks the record that was set on November 29th, 2006 when 10-thousand, 113 megawatts were used during the same time period. The utility says it expects the record will be shattered later this week, since the freezing temperatures are forecast to continue
