Canada’s defence minister says search and rescue technicians with the Royal Canadian Air Force take risks day in and day out, and that was what Master-Corporal Alfred Barr was preparing for when he was killed during a training exercise Wednesday. The incident took place near Yorkton, Saskatchewan, and the R-C-A-F’s Directorate of Flight Safety is investigating. Barr was a member of 435 Transport and Rescue Squadron at 17 Wing based at C-F-B Winnipeg.
