B-C’s newly minted premier is set to meet with Prime Minister Justin Trudeau for the first time on Tuesday, and a number of issues are expected to be up for discussion. John Horgan will be in Ottawa, where he says he intends to discuss the wildfire emergency, the opioid crisis and the softwood lumber dispute with the U-S. Another topic that may come up is the future of the proposed Trans Mountain pipeline expansion project. Tudeau’s government approved the 7.4-billion dollar project last fall, but Horgan campaigned against it and has pledged to fight the project with every tool at his disposal.
