B-C wildfire officials say there is no end in sight to raging wildfires raging, a month after a provincewide state of emergency was issued. Lightning sparked another 15 fires on Sunday, and many of the massive blazes still threatening communities have been burning for close to 30 days. One of those fires is the huge 11-hundred-square-kilometre Elephant Hill blaze near Ashcroft, which is believed to be human caused and remains under investigation.
