Beer drinkers around the province are being invited to raise a pint as part of British Columbia’s craft beer month. The provincial government says there are now more than 140 breweries across B-C, up from 54 in 2010. About four thousand people are employed by the industry, and the breweries support hop and grain growers, fruit farmers, and food and beverage establishments across the province. Agriculture minister Lana Popham says B-C continues to solidify its reputation as the craft beer capital of Canada.
