B-C’s energy minister says a planned three per cent increase in hydro rates is now on hold. Michelle Mungall says the government is keeping its promise to freeze rates after they went up more than 24 per cent over the last four years. She says the province will conduct a review of B-C Hydro to find ways to help keep rates low. That review will happen after the N-D-P decides whether to proceed with the 8.3 billion-dollar Site C hydroelectric dam project.
