Members of Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s cabinet were tight-lipped coming out of an emergency meeting to discuss the crisis in the Kinder Morgan Trans-Canada pipeline project. The message from the cabinet was simply — “we will get it done” — but no one would say just how they intend to get the pipeline built over the objections of the B-C government. Natural Resources Minister Jim Carr would only say that the pipeline is important for the entire country. Meantime, Alberta Premier Rachel Notley will be in Toronto today to discuss the issue with federal Finance Minister Bill Morneau.
