The City of Campbell River is holding it’s 3rd repair cafe. City Program Coordinator Linda Nagle encourages people to bring their old and broken items to get them fixed. The only rule is you have to be able to carry the broken items you need fixed. She says there are a variety of volunteer fixers who can repair almost any household item. This year there will be a couple who can fix musical instruments, someone to help with upholstery, and of course people who can fix general household and electronic items. Nagle says repair cafes are a good way to keep items that are still good out of our landfills. The event runs from 10:00am-2:00pm on October 29th at the Campbell River Sportsplex.
