The Comox Valley Regional District is reminding pet owners that licences are needed for dogs over the age of 6 months. CVRD Bylaw Manager Derald Lewis says licences are required within Electoral Areas A, B and C. You can purchase a license at the CVRD office, Comox SPCA, Ships Point Improvement District, and Courtenay City Hall. To buy a license you will need to provide your name, adress and phone number, as well as your dog’s name, breed, colour, and gender. Licences are $5 for spayed or neutered dogs, and $15 for non-spayed or neutered dogs. If it is your first time licensing your dog, you will need to bring proof of the spay/neuter status from your veterinarian.
