Campbell River’s Altrusa Club has a made a generous donation to the RCMP. Constable Sara Clark says the club has donated handmade trauma quilts. “Each quilt, actually a quillow, is handmade and embroidered by volunteers in the club,” states Clark. “These blankets are handed out at crime scenes and traffic incidents to provide warmth to victims while on scene.” The club also donates trauma bears for RCMP to hand out to help comfort children when dealing with traumatic events. “The RCMP appreciates their generosity and certainly so do the victims who find comfort in these items during sometimes the most difficult time in their lives.”
