British Columbian’s are getting more opportunities to experience the great outdoors. Premier Christy Clark says the province is adding hundreds of new campsites at BC parks and recreational sites as part of a 5 year strategy. “We are committing an additional $23 million to add more than 1,900 new campsites, we are hiring more park rangers to boost conservation, we are contributing an additional $5 million to launch the new BC Park Foundation,” states Clark. “It is about making sure that British Columbian’s have more ways to experience nature.” Chair of the Campaign for B-C Parks Ric Careless says he welcomes the5 year $23 million strategy. “This is not just a one off announcement. This is sweep of actions, this is a strategy,” Careless states.
