Comox Valley Regional District is holding a Rider Appreciation Day for those who take transit. Transit Manager Mike Zbarsky says riders will be greeted by CVRD staff as they disembark from busses at the exchange in downtown Courtenay with coffee and baked goods. “For those riders who won’t make it down to the downtown exchange between 7:00 am – 9:00am, they can go anytime during the day to some of our partner coffee shops for a free coffee or bite to eat, and that includes the Broken Spoke in Courtenay, Cafe Amantes and Mary’s Bakery in Comox,” states Zbarsky. “They just need to provide proof of ridership.” Rider Appreciation Day happens on December 9th, 2016.
