Comox Valley Salvation Army’s extreme weather shelter has been a busy spot over the past week. Brent Hobden says a record number of people are turning to Pidcock House to shelter from the cold overnight temperatures. Earlier this week, the shelter took in 29 people overnight. Hobden says it’s good that people on the street are getting the word that overnight shelter space is available.
