Wind, rain, snowfall and high-water warnings are being sounded in the province as the second in a series of “Mango Express” Pacific storms sweeps in. Environment Canada is posting rainfall warnings of up to 50 millimetres for Metro Vancouver, the Fraser Valley and the Howe Sound, while wind warnings cover much of Vancouver Island and the Sunshine Coast. Meanwhile, West Columbia, Yellowhead, Shuswap and East Columbia could be in for as much as 10 to 30 centimetres of snow by tomorrow. Avalanche Canada says the danger rating is going up in many areas, while the River Forecast Centre has issued high stream-flow advisories for many south coast rivers, warning that heavy rain and melting snow could cause flooding.
