Thousands of British Columbians are showing their love for nature in a unique way — by purchasing specialty licence plates. The province says more than 10-thousand B-C parks licence plates have been sold since the specialty designs were unveiled earlier this year. The plates cost 50-dollars initially, plus 40-dollars for each annual renewal, and the province says proceeds go towards a fund supporting B-C parks. Transportation Minister Todd Stone is one of the British Columbians who purchased the plates, and he says the program’s success shows how passionate people are about the province’s parks.
