N-D-P Leader John Horgan has advised B-C Hydro not to sign any new contracts on the divisive 8.8-billion-dollar Site C hydroelectric dam project. In the letter, Horgan says urges the corporation not to finalize any contracts that do not contain a penalty-free cancellation clause “until a new government has gained the confidence of the legislature.” Horgan says voters in the May 9th election elected parties who promise to review or stop the project, and he is calling for the B-C Utilities Commission to determine the dam’s economic viability.
