Costco shoppers with a taste for granola are being advised of a recall involving a popular product. The Canadian Food Inspection Agency says Nature’s Path Foods is recalling Nature’s Path brand Coconut and Cashew Butter Crunchy Granola due to possible Listeria contamination. The 720-gram packages carry a best-before date of March 2, 2018 and have been sold at Costco warehouse stores across Western Canada, including B-C. There have been no reports of illness linked to the granola but officials say food contaminated with Listeria might not look or smell bad, but has the potential to cause serious illness, including vomiting, nausea, persistent fever, muscle aches, severe headache and neck stiffness.
