A small earthquake was reported about 40 kilometres west of Gold River on Monday morning. The quake with a preliminary magnitude of 4.6 occurred at about 10;30 a-m and Earthquakes Canada says it was lightly felt in central Vancouver Island. The U-S Geological Survey says it has received reports about the shaker from as far away as Sooke, on the Island, and Point Roberts in Washington State. There are no reports of damage or injuries
