A special prosecutor says a woman has been charged with uttering death threats towards Premier Christy Clark after threatening phone messages were left at two Kelowna area constituency offices. Pavla Janeckova of Kelowna is also charged with uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm to legislature Speaker Steve Thomson. Special prosecutor Kris Pechet (PECK-et) says the calls to Clark’s and Thompson’s constituency offices came during the election campaign. Pechet wouldn’t provide specific details of the calls other than to say they involved what he describes as “a general view of how government is performing.”
