Hundreds of people are going online to offer wildfire evacuees all sorts of help, from housing to entertainment. Kristi McLean posted in a wildfire evacuee support group on Facebook saying that she has a trailer at her home in Kamloops that would be perfect for a family — especially one that has an autistic child who might not do well in an evacuation centre. Others have offered pet care, supplies and well wishes. There was even thought of evacuees who would be missing the season premire “Game of Thrones” last night, with Prince George resident Kayla Charest saying she’d be willing to host seven or eight fans for the event.
