Premier John Horgan says he had a bit of a — quote — love-in when he met with Prime Minister Justin Trudeau in Vancouver on Thursday. But Horgan says once the cameras were off and the doors closed, he pressed Trudeau to pony up some federal cash to help B-C, especially with the costs of this summer’s record-breaking wildfire season. The premier says the price tag for fire suppression and recovery is about 750 million dollars and Ottawa needs to make good on its promise to pitch in. Horgan says he and Trudeau also discussed the proposed Trans Mountain pipeline expansion, as well as child care, housing affordability and environmental stewardship.
