Thousands of police officers from across Canada and around the world marched in Abbotsford on Sunday in remembrance of a slain colleague. Abbotsford police officer Constable John Davidson was killed in the line of duty on November 6th while responding to a call about a stolen vehicle. Sergeant Judy Bird says about 12-thousand civilians and first responders attended Davidson’s celebration of life, including his former partners from the United Kingdom. Bird says Davidson was a Scotsman who came off a gruff, old school policeman at first, but soon transformed into a kind soul who would do anything for his community or his fellow officers.
