With plans to legalize recreational marijuana next July, Health Canada has rolled out a set of proposed regulations for the sale of the drug. It’s proposing cannabis workers get valid security clearances issued by the minister of health, and that anyone with ties to organized crime or those who have criminal records could be denied clearances. Other proposed regulations include health warnings packaging outlining the dangers of drug-impaired driving, mixing pot with alcohol and the risks associated with pot use during pregnancy.
