There will soon be many more spaces for students interested in studying technology at universities and colleges throughout B-C in an effort to support the province’s growing tech sector. The provincial government says it’s adding about 29-hundred tech-related spaces in classrooms that will result in one thousand extra grads per year by 2023. The province is investing 4.4 million dollars this year to increase the number of spaces, and that funding is expected to increase to 42 million dollars over time. Schools benefiting from the funding include Simon Fraser University, the University of B-C, the University of Northern B-C and the B-C Institute of Technology.
