Alberta Premier Rachel Notley says her province is stopping imports of B-C wine. The move is the latest in a growing dispute over the Trans Mountain pipeline expansion that would carry more Alberta oilsands bitumen to the coast. Notley says Alberta currently imports about 17 million bottles of wine from British Columbia each year — about 70-million dollars worth. Last week, Notley said Alberta was ending talks with B-C on power purchase agreements after B-C said it will restrict increased shipments of bitumen while it studies the effectiveness of spill response and cleanup.
