Elections B-C has released its official report on last year’s provincial election, and the data shows a slight increase in voter participation. The report says 57.7 per cent of eligible voters cast a ballot, compared with from 55.3 per cent in 2013. A much higher proportion of voters cast their ballots in advanced polls compared with previous years. The age group with the highest per cent of registered voters who cast a ballot was those aged 65 to 74 years, while the lowest turnout was among registered 25- to 34-year-old voters.
