B-C’s solicitor general says some grey areas remain despite the trio of bills he introduced to help set out a legal framework for recreational marijuana. Mike Farnworth says provincial staff are still working on a price point that will stem the black market. But he says the province is hamstrung until Ottawa rules on the legality of edibles and impairment detection technology for drivers. The province will have jurisdiction over wholesale distribution of cannabis, but it will be up to each municipality to determine if and where recreational pot can be sold.
