An R-C-M-P officer stationed in the Comox Valley is scheduled to appear in court on an assault charge later this month. The B-C Prosecution Service says the charge has been approved against Constable Geory Penner. It says the charge stems from an alleged incident while the officer was on duty in the Courtenay and Comox area in early November. The prosecution service says it won’t be releasing any further details while the case is before the court.
