People will soon be paying a little more to take the ferry, due to the increasing price of fuel on the world market. B-C Ferries says starting on June 27th, it will remove fuel tariffs. The rebate and surcharge mechanism is used to manage the volatility of fuel prices. Added costs vary depending on ferry trips, but major routes will see an extra 50 cents charged for passengers and a dollar seventy more for a vehicle.
