B-C has generated 2.3 million dollars by selling 100-thousand specialty licence plates in the province. The money is going towards protecting and preserving provincial parks. Environment Minister George Heyman says residents passion about our parks has helped the government exceed sales of the speciality plates beyond expectations. Vehicle owners can choose one of three plates with scenes from B-C’s parks, including a Kermode bear, the Purcell Mountains, and Porteau Cove, overlooking Howe Sound.
