More smoky, hazy air is expected for much of the Lower Mainland and Vancouver Island as wildfires continue to rage across B-C. Metro Vancouver announced Sunday it would continue a previous air quality advisory because of the high levels of fine particulate matter. Environment Canada says the air in the eastern Fraser Valley is particularly bad, scoring over a 10 on its air quality health index. Doctor Trevor Corneil of Interior Health says fine particulate matter can be absorbed into the blood stream and lungs through the air, causing exhaustion and confusion.
