B-C Conservation Service is warning that ignoring a campfire ban doesn’t just risk starting a wildfire it will also cost you. Inspector Murray Smith says that since mid-July, conservation officers have handed out more than 70 tickets worth 81-thousand dollars. The ticket for breaking the campfire ban can cost you more than one thousand dollars.
