Gas prices in B-C are at an all-time high following the natural gas pipeline explosion in Prince George. One reason for the increase in prices is that refineries use natural gas for their needs. A short supply means they have to cut their output, which in turn raises prices at the pump. Senior petroleum analyst Dan McTeague with GasBuddy expects prices to remain high until the pipeline is fixed and flow is restored.
