The B-C Centre for Disease Control is warning travellers to parts of Washington state and Oregon they are at potential risk of exposure to measles. Thirty-five people have come down with measles in Portland, Oregon and Clark County in Washington State since January 1st, with 11 more cases suspected. Clark County has declared a public health emergency related to the outbreak and officials say people may have been exposed to the disease at about four dozen locations, including Portland International Airport, a Portland Trail Blazers game and at a Wal-Mart Supercenter in Vancouver, Washington. The B-C centre says anyone considering travelling should make sure their measles vaccination is up to date.
