Transport Minister Marc Garneau has banned Boeing 7-37 Max 8 and Max 9 planes from flying into, out of, or over Canadian airspace. He says he made the decision after reviewing the latest evidence on Sunday’s crash of an Ethiopian Airlines Max 8 and its similarities to October’s Lion Air crash. Ethiopia is searching for another country to take the black box recorders for analysis. Germany’s Federal Bureau of Aircraft Accident Investigation has declined the job, saying it lacks the necessary software.
