The B-C Coroners Service has developed an interactive map of unidentified human remains found in nearly 200 unsolved cases across the province. Each entry on the map shows the approximate location where the remains were found, case numbers for contact purposes and a summary of key information related to each unresolved case. The service says most are linked to cold cases and it’s hoping the launch of the map will generate new leads that will help identify the remains and bring closure to families. The map was created by the service’s special investigations unit and spatial information analyst Ian Charlton.
