It’s back to a normal work day for many workers with employers who took a more flexible approach to business yesterday so staff could attend a massive victory parade and rally for the N-B-A Champion Toronto Raptors. Sobeys — an official partner of the Raptors — offered about 900 employees in the Greater Toronto Area a paid day off to watch the parade downtown. It turned out to be the longest N-B-A championship parade ever. It took more than five hours for the double-decker buses carrying the team and their families to wind their way to Toronto City Hall. The streets were packed with hundreds of thousands of people, and a million more fans were waiting in and around Nathan Phillips Square.
