Voting stations are now opening, beginning on the East Coast, for Canadians to choose the next federal government. Throughout the 40-day campaign the polls have consistently suggested a very tight race between the Liberals and Conservatives. Story Leader Andrew Schemer has predicted that if neither party wins a majority Liberal Leader Justin Trudeau will turn to the N-D-P to try to form a coalition government. While he hasn’t ruled out such a scenario, New Democrat Leader Jag meet Singh — who could well play “king-maker” — has said he would never support a Conservative minority.
