A mushroom picker who went missing on Tuesday near Campbell River has been found dead. The RCMP says officers found the man soon after he was reported missing. Police say the man, who was in his 60s, died before he was found. The death is not considered suspicious and the case has been turned over to the BC Coroners Service. Police are reminding people to develop a safety plan before going into the backcountry. They say people should let someone know where they’re going and when they’ll be back.
