People in the Comox Valley will soon have access to a new long-term care facility that will provide 126 publicly-funded long-term and hospice care beds.
Ocean Front Village will have 120 long-term care beds and two new hospice beds, as well as four existing hospice beds that will move from The Views at St. Joseph’s.
Golden Life Management Corporation will build and operate the new facility, which will be located at 2900 Cliffe Avenue in Courtenay.
The care home is slated to be completed by spring 2021.
The facility will cost approximately $28.2 million dollars to construct.
