B-C is marking a tragic first — Canada’s first death from COVID-19. A man in his 80s with other health issues has died at a long-term care centre in North Vancouver. British Columbia’s provincial health officer Dr. Bonnie Henry shared the grim news, saying his symptoms were detected late Thursday to early Friday, and he died Sunday evening. She confirms five more cases of the respiratory illness, bringing the total number in B-C to 32. In Ontario, four new cases have been reported for a total of 35. Other confirmed or presumptive cases are in Alberta and Quebec.
