Residents of southern B-C are reminded to stay hydrated as a heat wave blanketing the region intensifies on Monday. Environment Canada has upgraded its weather statement to a heat warning for much of the southern and central Interior. Temperatures are expected to reach 35 degrees in the Cariboo and Okanagan before moderating Wednesday as a ridge of high pressure weakens. Highs in the Lower Mainland and Vancouver Island are forecast to top 30 degrees, with some cooling expected on Tuesday.
