Provincial health officer Doctor Bonnie Henry says it’s a good idea to use your level of social interaction in the early days of the pandemic as a guide for the fall season.
Henry says summer was a grace period where we could socialize more outdoors, but with rising COVID-19 cases and a looming flu season, it’s time to tighten our bubbles.
Yesterday, she ordered nightclubs and banquet halls to close and ordered restaurants, bars, and lounges to stop serving alcohol at 10 p-m.
Henry says she uses public health orders as a last resort but now is the time to turn the tide on the spiking cases by focusing on high-risk venues and activities.
