On October 5th, 2020 at 9:48 pm Campbell River responded to a report of a female possibly overdosed at the Campbell River Courthouse on 13th Ave.
Upon arrival, police located four people suffering from apparent overdoses. Narcan was used by police to rouse one of the individuals, all of who were transported to Campbell River Hospital by BC Ambulance and are expected to survive.
This again demonstrates the dangers of opioid drug abuse. In this case, the four people were very fortunate that someone found them in distress or it could easily have been the end of their lives,
said Cst. Maury Tyre. The fact that all four people survived is a testament to the professionalism of the emergency services in Campbell River, including BC Ambulance and Campbell River Fire Dept.
If you wish to report a crime please contact the Campbell River RCMP at 250-286-6221 or in an emergency call 911.
