Census Population

Census numbers show that Cumberland’s population grew by more than 18 per cent between 2016 and 2021 to 4,447. Courtenay’s population expanded 10.8 per cent to 28,420, and Campbell River grew by 7.6 per cent to 35,519. The Town of Comox saw its population change by 5.5 per cent to 14,806. Canada’s population hit 36.9-million last year, growing by 5.2 per cent.
